Here are some of the questions/issues discussed so far:
- Problem of evil
- Free will
- The Trinity
- Jesus - fully man/fully God
- Creation and ecology
- Submission
- The meaning of "good" and "evil"
And here are some of the stereotypes the book attempts to rebuke:
- God is male
- God is white
- We should only listen to "Christian" music
- Jesus was handsome
- God is a punisher
- You have to bow your head and close your eyes to pray
So far I've read to somewhere in chapter 10, and the pace shows no sign of slowing down. Some of the items above I thought were very insightful, and have made me think. But I can't think for long because in the next paragraph something new is brought up.

You are so right. I felt like all they things that he has said makes total sense, yet it boggles my mind and I need to chew on it some. I found myself reading several of these pages over and over again and believe that I will end up reading Chapters 5-15 over and over again. There is a lot here in these pages and if this is really any glimpse of what God is like then it makes me happy.
kapachino - great post. good points. these are good points inside and outside of the book. i am all about God showing us that we have barely scratched the surface on who God really is for and in us. i am all about us, as sons and daughters, giving God permission to be something other. we will be totally shocked when we get to heaven and see the Kingdom of God and realize, damn, the church was no where close. i mean, NOWHERE close. again, this is a great post.
